Diabolo
Diabolo (commonly misspelled as diablo; also known as "the devil on two sticks") is a juggling prop consisting of a spool-shaped object which is whirled and tossed on a string tied to two sticks held one in each hand. Various tricks are possible using the sticks, string, and even body parts. Two diabolos can be placed on the same string.
The Greek word "diabolos" means "the liar" or "the one that commits perjury", a reference to disbelief over some of amazing tricks that one can accomplish with a diabolo. Diabolos can be traced back to Chinese yo-yos from the 8th century.
